Kate Tsui Chosen to Star Alongside Dayo Wong in Upcoming TVB Series

Early on, there were reports debating which popular actress, Carol Cheng (鄭裕玲) or Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼), would take the female lead co-starring opposite of Dayo Wong (黃子華) in the new TVB drama. To the surprise by many, neither Carol Cheng nor Charmaine Sheh will be the lead actress. Current TVB fadan, Kate Tsui (徐子珊), is chosen to be the female lead of the new drama with Dayo. 

How Did It Happen?

Carol Cheng emphasized that she is more concerned with her health and thereby rejected the offer to film the upcoming new series. As for Charmaine, though she showed a strong desire to work with Dayo again, there were conflicts with her work schedule. She too had to decline the filming offer. 

Kate's Response

Kate is reportedly absolutely thrilled to be able to have such an opportunity. She said she is already feeling a bit nervous, similar to Myolie Wu's (胡杏兒) experience filming for the third installment of Rosy Business. 

Dayo is now working with TVB management to give his insights on the pre-filming details. TVB has given him the freedom to develop the script as he see fits and the casting choices. Filming is said to begin in April. 

Frankie Lam Spends Time With Family

With CTI facing huge licensing dilemmas, Frankie Lam's (林文龍) new drama, The Three-Sided Doctors (三面形醫), is unable to air. While filming the new drama, Frankie suffered an injury to his leg and has been seen on crutches. He is recovering slowly. Not wanting to waste this precious opportunity while off from work, he has been an active father and husband spending quality time with his family.

Frankie emphasized that ever since his daughter was born, both him and his wife, Kenix Kwok (郭可盈), are putting in extra effort to spend more time with her. He said, "I don't have work right now. I spend all my time with my daughter. I know to treasure this time now since things will change when she grows up. I am going to work hard and earn all the money I can to help with her future. We don't have any plans to have a son as of now because we want to put all focus on our daughter." After hearing this short response from Frankie, one can see just how much he has embraced his role as a father and he is happily enjoying every second of it. 

Play Dates with Raymond Cho's Son

According to an inside source, "Frankie's daughter is very cute. Both her parents absolutely loves and spoils her very much. They have regular play dates with Raymond Cho (曹永廉) and his son. Raymond Cho's son is two years older than Frankie's daughter. The two get along quite well and enjoy one another's company." 

Chapman To Declares Unconditional Love for Kristal Tin, Fiona Sit Got a Boob Job?

The three night stand-up comedy show Ka La Show (咔啦騷), starring Chapman To (杜汶澤 40), concluded its successful run last night. His wife, Kristal Tin (田蕊妮 35), and friends, Natalie Tong (唐詩詠 31), Edmond Pang (彭浩翔 39) and Derek Tsang (曾國祥 33), were all present to give their one hundred percent support. Chrissie Chau (周秀娜 27) and Dada Chan (陳靜 23) were invited as guest stars for the first two nights. The final night, Chapman had Fiona Sit (薛凱琪 31) as a guest.

Compared to Chrissie and Dada, Fiona only has an average body figure. When Fiona appeared in the astronaut costume, her bust were noticeably bigger, from an A cup to a C cup. Taking advantage of this scene, Chapman immediately said, "Your neck is long and shoulders are narrow, somehow your 'balls' (Canto-slang for breasts) are huge. How were you able to find such a large bra in your house?" Fiona sarcastically responded with, "I took a special visit to Korea to get a boob job and borrowed a bra from my mother!"

Chapman informed his audience that he use to be a play boy when he was still an employee at ATV. He expressed that he is extremely grateful for his wife to stay by his side despite his mistakes. he told the audience not to typecast all successful men needs to have a lot of women, they only need one good woman to just be as successful. He hopes for other men to find their Kristal Tin, as he did. Upon hearing this, Kristal couldn't hold back the emotions and was seen in tears.

Popular TVB actors an actresses, Nancy Wu (胡定欣 31), JJ Jia (贾晓晨 30), Kenneth Ma (馬國明 39), Oscar Leung (梁烈唯 33), Myolie Wu (胡杏兒 33) and many more were at a promotional event for romantic series Season of Love (戀愛季節).

Myolie informed the press that after the event, she will immediately fly over to Beijing. Reporters asked her if she is secretly meeting up with her boyfriend in which she questioned back, "Who?" She continued, "Don't make things up. I am not in a hurry to be in a relationship, let fate take its natural course." 

Intoxicated by Milk? 

There were news circulating that Myolie had too good of a time at Nancy Wu's house and was intoxicated. To this, Myolie responded, "I didn't drink. The reporter happened to take pictures of me while I was squinting my eyes trying to get myself a taxi! Besides, I explained on Weibo that all I drank was milk."

Nancy assured reporters that Myolie is doing well physically and mentally. When asked if Myolie have been resisting to the idea of a relationship, she replied, "Of course not. She is very career-oriented. Back then, I reminded her that she needs time for her own personal life too. I mean, we're both over 30, we still have to think about our future, marriage, having kids and forming a family. There needs to be a balance."

Oscar Leung Intends to Get Married, Prepares to Host 50 Tables

Appearing at an event at the mall, TVB's 2012 Most Improved Actor, Oscar Leung (梁烈唯 33), learn the actual date of the Lantern Festival from his girlfriend. He told reporters he did not know of the occasion until he went grocery shopping with his girlfriend when she bought 'tong yuen'. He revealed the two had went on a mini vacation to celebrate Valentine's Day together. Oscar said, "I will buy a gift for my girlfriend after work today", showing his affections for her. 

Marriage Plans Up Ahead

On Chinese New Year, Anita Yuen (袁詠儀 41) handed Oscar red envelopes and encouraged him to tie the knot. Oscar said he and his girlfriend does intend to get married and have been visiting restaurants to ask about the pricing of banquets. However, it seems marriage plans might have to wait until next year as restaurant openings are not available til then. Oscar have already drawn up a guest list. He expressed, "During my wedding, I will have at least 50 tables of guests. That also means, I will have to butcher 50 chickens, 50 fishes, 50 pigs, not a good thing at all."

Upcoming Schedule

As of now, Oscar is discussing a new film. Later in June, he will take part in the second installment of the highly successful series-movie type drama, Tiger Cubs (飛虎).

Grace Wong, the Virgin, Finds Mr. Right

TVB actress, Grace Wong (王君馨 26), is crowned a virgin within the entertainment industry even though she has three relationships under her belt. She was single for six years, but have recently re-connected with her third ex-boyfriend where they met in the United States. Both share Christian beliefs. She happily announced that he is her "Mr. Right". 

The Meeting

Grace and her boyfriend met in a restaurant where she worked as a waitress in New York. She said, "I saw him trespass into the parking lot. I stopped him and asked, 'Are you going to come in for a meal?' He was shocked but managed to nod his head a little. Later, I told my friend who was also a waitress that the guy trespassing into the parking lot is very good looking. The guy happened to be her friend. I blushed and rushed into the restroom." 

She continued, "There was this one time where he came with a group of friends to eat. I was the one who took their orders. While his friends were drinking alcohol, he drank coffee. He definitely was the one standing out from his group. I made him caramel mocha. Since then, he would come by every Friday and Saturday to drink the coffee I made for him. Then, one day, he asked me to go eat Korean tofu with him. During this outing, I told him my wish is to become a star in Hong Kong. Instead of laughing at me or labeling me as a 'dreamer', he said, 'I'll support you". I was touched, very touched. 

The Break-Up

Grace informed the media that the relationship ended when she went to Hong Kong to develop her career. She stated, "Our personalities couldn't seem to find a way to co-exist, so the best option was to break up and remain friends."

Present Day

After six long years since their break up, Grace sees him as her "Mr. Right" and decided to rekindle the relationship. She praises him, "He works very hard and is motivated. Not to mention, honest too!" It is revealed that her boyfriend will return to the United States and will have to commit to a long-distance relationship. 

KO One Return Finale Disappointment, Fans Against Jiro Wang's Return For Third Installment

KO One Return (终极一班2) has reached immense success and popularity since its broadcast in Taiwan. It has reached over 200 million views on video streaming website, Youku. The 30-episode Taiwanese idol drama has been topping ratings on various charts for the evening, 8pm, time slot. It has also propelled Taiwanese star, Petz Tzeng (曾沛慈 28), to stardom. 

With the high recognition, KO One will have a third installment by the end of this year. The original cast will return. However, some netizens, generally fans of Jiro Wang (汪東城 31) have voiced out their displeasure for their idol to return. They were upset with the ending of the second installment, KO One Return (终极一班2), because of Jiro and Pet's unacceptable fate. In response to fans and netizens' voices, GTV promised to take their opinions into considerations when making the third installment. 

Father and Daughter, Tats Lau and Joey Meng, Reunite After 8 Years

Since the broadcast of, My Date with a Vampire III (我和僵屍有個約會III永恆國度), Tats Lau (劉以達 49) and Joey Meng (萬綺雯 42), portrayed as father and daughter, have not seen each other for a long eight years. They were finally able to reunite after attending an event for fire safety day. Joey was seen wearing a firefighter's uniform leading a firefighter dog in front of fans, reporters, by-passers, unfortunately, she had trouble commanding the dog. 

Joey informed the press that this is the first time in years since standing on the same stage with Tats. She said, "We portrayed father and daughter then. It's been at least eight years since we've seen each other. We are going to have dinner tonight since this is such a rare opportunity." She added, "Tats birthday is coming up so he insisted Joey to come out."

Joey is a Good Girl

In responding to making Joey attend his birthday party, Tats said "She is a good girl. Even after marriage, she stays home and doesn't go out often. Therefore, we share many similarities and will have lots to talk about."

She said, "Ever since joining TVB, the people I have seen this half year is equal to the past five years." Joey has already gone used to TVB's work environment. She expressed that in her new series Food for Slaves (食为奴) will have many action scenes. 

Tats New Album

Tats is working on his new album, 第四度空間, and will be released soon. This albums focuses on his recent life. He showed grief in seeing that the music industry is no longer as prominent as the past especially when music stores are facing huge diminishing sales. However, since Tats is still a member of the music industry, he emphasized that he will do whatever he can to contribute to it. 

TVB Diamond Bachelor, Kenneth Ma's Significant Other?

TVB's diamond bachelor and popular siu sang, Kenneth Ma (馬國明 39), is gaining immense popularity ever since the success of The Hippocratic Crush (On Call 36小時) and his role as the "big bad man" in Tiger Cubs (飛虎). With such growing popularity, his personal life rumors seem to have hit an all time high. You know what they say, the more popular you are, the more people talk about you. 

As of late, he has rumored to be romantically linked with co-star Rebecca Zhu (朱晨麗 25) in Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles (名媛望族), Natalie Tong (唐詩詠 31), and new comer Eliza Sam (岑麗香 28). Some reporters reported Kenneth dating Natalie Tong for about three months since they were caught having dinner together. In another news, it was reported Kenneth and Eliza are dating after spotted attending a BBQ party together. 

What does Kenneth have to say?

In hearing about the three month relationship with Natalie, Kenneth immediately denied. He declares, "I only treat her as a little sister." He informed reporters that he did not hear of this dating rumor until Natalie called him. She jokingly asked Kenneth, "We been dating for three months already?!" Kenneth also added that the dinner date was between Natalie, Jazz Lam (林子善 30) and himself, thus assuring his fans that he is not dating Natalie. 

Regarding dating rumors with Eliza Sam, unsurprisingly, Kenneth denied this rumored relationship as well. He said the BBQ party was a director's gathering and other working crew members were present. 

Kenneth jokingly added, "Reporters have been asking me questions regarding my love life more than my mother!" 

Raymond Lam and Karena Ng Returns From a Mellow Okinawa Vacation

Since Raymond Lam (33), admitted to his relationship with Karena Ng (19), the two have been spotted several times hand in hand, smiling with one another in contentment and enjoying each other's company. After all the denials and hiding, the two have finally lifted a huge rock off their shoulders. 

They are now at ease, recently spotted boarding a plane to Okinawa, Japan. They have now returned from their sweet trip. A young boy spotted them and immediately asked for a photograph. Both agreed and smiled brightly in front of the camera. After the trip from Okinawa, both were witnessed to have rings on their ring fingers.
